Michael Jackson Surrender

On Thursday, November 20, 2003, Michael Jackson arrived by private jet at Santa Barbara Airport around noon. He was taken into custody by Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department personnel by prearrangement at the airport and transported to the Main Jail to be booked on the arrest warrant.

Mr. Jackson was booked on charges of violation of section 288 (a) of the California Penal Code. Bail amount of $3 million was set on the warrant, and bail was posted at the time of Mr. Jackson's booking.

Mr. Jackson will be arraigned on the charges at Santa Barbara Superior Court at 8:30AM on January 9, 2004.
